It’s no secret that Dana White is not a fan of former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. The Cameroonian star left the promotion in 2023 before signing with the PFL, and ever since, the tension between the two has played out publicly. But things escalated dramatically of late after White made a shocking claim about Ngannou’s behavior during his UFC tenure. Now, a former UFC employee has added to the fire with new allegations.

During a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz’s podcast, White alleged that Francis Ngannou once grabbed his shirt in his office over not receiving a Fight of the Night bonus. The UFC CEO also mentioned Ngannou did the same to Hunter Campbell. The story immediately grabbed attention, raising eyebrows about this unknown side of the PFL champion. After this revelation, a former UFC employee has come forward online, accusing Ngannou of bullying staff members.

Francis Ngannou was a terror at UFC
Reacting to Dana White’s comments on the podcast, Anthony ‘Ant’ Evans took to X to say he’d never heard this particular story from the UFC CEO before. Still, he made it clear that he fully believes the allegations against Ngannou. “Francis was a terror at the UFC office when I worked there,” Evans wrote while reacting to the clip. “He’d show up over and over, walk around the offices, standing over people’s desks and making staff very uncomfortable.”
Evans noted that some of Ngannou’s behaviour might have stemmed from cultural differences or communication gaps. “Now, some of it was [that] he is a huge man from a different culture speaking English as a (third?) language. And there is such a thing as being proactive,” he added. However, he emphasized that what he witnessed felt more like intimidation than anything else. “And there’s also bullying. He struck me as a bully.” When a user asked whether he remembered any specific incident that stood out, Evans responded.
“It’s 8 years or so, so some of the specifics are hazy, but one I witnessed myself was him standing over one of the women who designed UFC key art and wanting changes,” he wrote in a follow-up. “Don’t misunderstand, nothing like putting his hands on anyone, but he’s a big scary dude and he had no business standing over people’s desks telling them what he wanted.” According to Evans, Ngannou was routinely difficult to deal with.

“Almost all fighters are their worst selves fight week – the pressure, the weight cut, etc. Francis was unreal obnoxious to people just doing their jobs,” he concluded. While the claims are serious, it’s worth noting they come from just one source and remain unverified. But the bigger question now is: what exactly did Dana White say in his assault allegation about Francis Ngannou?

Dana White reminds everyone Ngannou is a bad man
Speaking to Andrew Schulz, Dana White claimed that Ngannou doesn’t actually have a language barrier. Rather, he pretends to have one to come across as a nice guy. White recalled the time Francis Ngannou was preparing to fight Stipe Miocic in 2018. “He knows he’s going to f—ing kill Stipe. After the press conference, we’re walking down this hallway, and he comes over to me and he grabs me and he says, ‘Let me tell you what’s going to happen. When this fight’s over, you’re going to book me a private plane to Paris.’”
Shocked, White continued, “And I laughed. He goes, ‘I’m not joking. You’re going to book me a private plane.’” Miocic, of course, ended up beating Ngannou in that fight, so White said the conversation ended there. However, the issues didn’t stop, as White recalled another instance of Ngannou’s behavior. “He had just fought and he comes up to my office. I said, ‘What’s going on?’ And he was pi–ed off that he didn’t get a $50,000 bonus.”

“I’m starting to leave and he grabs me by my shirt,” White said during the podcast. “And like pushes me back in my office. And I said, ‘Dude, get your f—ing hands off me.’ I could see in this guy’s face and in his eyes and in the way he’s acting who this guy really f—ing is.” White also claimed that Ngannou did the same to UFC executive Hunter Campbell. “Francis grabbed him by the f—ing back of his collar and f—ing pulled him back. Said, ‘We’re not done talking yet.’”
As an added jibe, White also said that the PFL might be regretting signing the ex-UFC star. There were reports a while back that PFL was unhappy about Francis Ngannou’s absence from the maiden PFL Africa event. Donn Davis publicly stated as much. Is Francis being a thorn in their shoes, too?
It appears there’s more to the beef between Francis Ngannou and Dana White than contractual disputes. And White just opened the closet and pulled out the skeletons. What do you think about the allegations made against Ngannou? How do you think he will respond?
