Francis Ngannou lived up to his ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ moniker after finishing Renan Ferreira last weekend on his PFL debut. Following that win, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones decided to drop a message of congratulations to ‘The Predator’. Well, Ngannou may not have replied to him on social media, but he did notice what ‘Bones’ had to say.

Emotions were running high after Ngannou became the inaugural PFL Superfights heavyweight champion. Despite being away from MMA action for nearly two years, ‘The Predator’ showed no signs of rust on one of the biggest nights of not just his career but his life as well. The win was a tribute to his late son, Kobe, and Jon Jones made sure to give Ngannou his flowers.

Francis Ngannou is well aware of the message from Jon Jones and appreciates the UFC champ’s praiseful words. The Cameroonian-French star claims that he will also watch ‘Bones’ compete next month when he steps into the cage with former 2-time champion Stipe Miocic in Madison Square Garden. “Yeah, I saw that. I saw his tweet… Well, whatever he means, I think he’s class,” Ngannou told Ariel Helwani. “He said it in a very nice way, you know. So, I see him, too, and I’ll be watching him on November 16.”

Will Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones become a reality? The PFL champ claims maybe it will

Who doesn’t want to see the much-talked-about dream heavyweight clash between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou? The hype is certainly real and ‘The Predator’ strongly believes that it could come to fruition. Why? Well, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority seems to be interested in this fight. Turki Alalshikh has made Saudi Arabia into a boxing hotbed, so he might be looking to do the same with MMA.

“There is a chance [that he fights Jones in 2025]… I know that fight also interests Turki [Alalshikh] and not many things resisted him,” Ngannou added. However, there are certain obstacles in that direction, especially Dana White’s hesitance to do cross-promotional fights. The UFC CEO made it crystal clear that the promotion does not like to play partners with rival promotions.

So Alalshikh may need to sort that out first. What do you have to say about Francis Ngannou’s response to Jon Jones? Will the heavyweight top dogs battle it out soon? Drop your comments below.
