One of the most controversial moments for the UFC back in 2021 was the release of UFC legend Dan Hardy from its team. The UFC legend retired from fighting and was working as an analyst for the promotion. So why was he fired personally by the UFC CEO? Well, the story has more mystery to it than even Joe Rogan can anticipate. Regardless, the multi-million dollar podcaster in his recent outing has again raised the Dan Hardy issue in front of the world.

Joe Rogan gives his honest take on Dana White’s decision to fire Dan Hardy

According to the official reports, Dan Hardy was fired from the UFC’s analyst position for a grave sin. And what was that? Well, reports suggest that Hardy was misbehaving with his female colleague. After the reality came in front of the MMA world, UFC immediately cut their ties with the former UFC fighter and Dana White even used a bit of rough language for him.

Hardy has been away from the UFC for years now, but Joe Rogan has yet to forget the release of his dear friend. In a conversation on ‘JRE Fight Companion’, Rogan emphasized that he sometimes misses Hardy. “Dan Hardy’s great he’s the best I was bummed out when they fired him,” said Rogan. He added, I don’t know what happened. You know, he’s a fighter; he felt like the fight was stopped too late. You know, it’s dangerous when that kind of shit happens. I don’t know what’s going on there, I don’t know what happened, but I miss him. I used to train with him at 10th Planet. He’s a good guy.”

However, there’s a different side to the story as well. There are rumors that White fired Hardy for the simple fact that he was exposing, or one can say, exposed his good side. Well, everyone knows that White helps fighters when they need him, and a similar incident happened when Calvin Kattar was seriously injured. Dan Hardy accused White of staging sympathy and acting to care, “The whole thing was staged to protect the UFC,” said Hardy.

Well, Dan Hardy has been working outside of the promotion but has put many such grave accusations against Dana White, but what did White say about him? Let us find out.

Back in 2022, when the controversy was at its peak, a reporter asked Dana White about such accusations at a UFC 280 post-fight press conference. The question in itself came as an attack on White. The UFC supremo was perplexed when the journalist asked the question regarding Hardy’s accusations. White was confused and asked him to repeat the question.

After a few minutes of confusion, White took the mic and said, “Well, I don’t even know what that means but I can tell you this, we have never staged anything ever. He added, “I don’t give a f**k what anybody thinks! I definitely don’t give a f**k about what Dan Hardy thinks!”
