When Miesha Tate surprised and infuriated Ronda Rousey
With Miesha Tate all ready to make a comeback at UFC Austin against Julia Avila, a throwback video on Instagram helps us refresh the memories. UFC Europe shared a video of a heated Ronda Rousey during The Ultimate Fighter season 18.
The former champion was waiting when Tate walked in. Initially, Rousey looked cordial and had a friendly chat with Tate. The former Strikeforce and UFC champion assumed Tate was there to help out Cat Zingano, who was initially set to coach opposite ‘Rowdy.’
However, an injury forced her out and Tate was more than happy to step in. This change, however, was unbeknownst to Rousey, who heard it from Tate and stormed off to confront her boss.

In the video, Tate said, “Ronda and I fought once before. My rivalry started with her being disrespectful towards me by calling me out. I feel her approach was very inappropriate. Obviously, then we fought, things got heated, and I lost.” As a furious Rousey went in search of Dana White, Tate said, “So we are not gonna have any slumber party any time soon.”
The rivalry between the two carried on outside the Octagon as well. But what happened when both these fighters met against each other twice inside the Octagon?
