UFC fans love to watch some big fights. The Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor fight is one such example. Similarly, Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes’ fight was a huge deal. However, Dana White wanted Georges St-Pierre to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov.

‘GSP’ recently appeared on ‘Valuetainment Short Clips’ and spoke about how the fight was about to happen. However, the promotion did not really support the idea.

He explained he had approached the UFC with the idea of fighting Nurmagomedov. Even ‘The Eagle’ was on board with it. However, the promotion wasn’t too enthusiastic about it as Nurmagomedov was an active fighter at that time.

He revealed that after he and Nurmagomedov both retired, Dana White asked him if he was interested in fighting the Russian.

He said, “But I thought it was strange because he never wanted to do it and now because he called me for that reason, I was like, I didn’t want to do it but I told Dana just to see what happened because I was curious. You know, it’s always a chess game when the promoter calls you. It’s so that’s the world where I live in. So I didn’t say no. I said ‘okay, let me think about it’.”
