Georges St-Pierre Ranks Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Place in the UFC GOAT List

Since its origin, MMA has seen a lot of great fighters. Often, the narrative of who is the greatest fighter of all time is pondered upon in the MMA community. Considering his illustrious career in the UFC, a lot of fans and pundits believe that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the greatest of all time. ‘The Eagle’ retired with an undefeated record of 29-0 after beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. In a recent interview, Georges St-Pierre weighed in on where he thinks Khabib ranks in the GOAT conversation.

While speaking to MMA news, GSP said, “Oh yeah he had the perfect career! Perfect! I mean he is on the top. You know what I mean? The way I see it when you say the Greatest of all time, you have to wait until his career is over”

“It is sad to say but a lot of fighters I feel like they tainted their legacy a little bit because they waited too long. For me, the greatest of all time is someone who has a great, who left behind a great legacy.”

It is great to hear GSP make a statement like that because statements like these embody the true value of martial arts, such as humility and respect. It is GSP’s humble and respectful nature that makes him so loved in the MMA community.

In a career spanning over 28 fights, GSP managed to win 26 of them while he lost 2. In the process, he also managed to capture the UFC welterweight championship twice. GSP also avenged his losses by gaining victories over Matt Hughes and Matt Serra.
