Nate Diaz, a former UFC fighter, has recently dominated news coverage. On Friday in New Orleans at the XULA Convocation Centre, the Stockton native attended the Misfits Boxing 6 event. Diaz was present to stand with his friend Chris Avila. Things became heated near the end of the evening when Diaz got into a fight with influencer Chase DeMoor and his group.
Nobody is certain what started the altercation. However, Diaz initiated the initial physical contact by hurling a water bottle in DeMoor‘s direction. Security got involved shortly after the altercation began and led Diaz outside. The altercation between Nate Diaz and influencer Chase DeMoor did not finish there; it continued outside the venue.

Perry sided with Diaz in this entire controversy. According to him, people often act rude and reckless around professionals just to get attention from people around them. As per Perry, people do this because they think famous fighters like Diaz are in the public eye and will refrain from indulging in a fight.
“Sometimes people see fighters in real life. I don’t know if they want to test themselves, they want to just be rude, or just try to be confident in front of some girl. And they try to be disrespectful or they think that we’re under watch and we can’t be normal or bad people”.
Perry also explained a fighter’s way of thinking about public disputes. “We’re fighters. We sell fights and we get mad at anybody who thinks they can beef with us in a one-on-one matchup, so I understand them”, said Perry. “I do try to have that Diaz mindset”, he added.
