The UFC President appeared in an interview with ‘Yahoo! Sports’ recently and discussed various aspects of the sport. However, one thing people have been wanting to know is whether Canelo Alvarez’s boxing on May 7 will hamper UFC’s next event in any way.
As Alvarez’s match and UFC 274 takes place on May 7, many combat sports fans might have to decide between the two. Speaking about the same, White said, “Yeah, no. I think what happens is, you know, I am watching the Canelo fight, you know what I mean? And I think that’s the way a lot of fight fans feel. So I think they’ll watch both. I think they’ll watch us and I think they’ll watch Canelo. I think a great night for fight fans.”

Yahoo Sports interviewer, Kevin Iole pointed out how such a clash had happened once before. Alvarez’s match against Caleb Plant took roughly at the same time as UFC 268 main and co-main event, as per Iole.
As a result, it looks like something similar is about to happen soon. But White has a message for combat sports fans. He said, “Yeah, get your two TV’s ready.”
