Gilbert Burns recently took to Twitter to share a thoughtful message with his fellow UFC fighters. UFC President Dana White recently announced that there will be at least 60 fighters getting cut from the roster before the end of the year.
The process has already begun with Yoel Romero and Rachael Ostovich being the most notable names released by the promotion so far.
Hope the 60 guys getting cut, have been smart about money and make the right decision on the next chapter 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

#1 ranked welterweight Gilbert Burns shared an empathetic message for his colleagues who are looking to face the ax. It was a really nice gesture on the fighter’s part, to say the least.
It is true that some fighters are going to get a hard time finding a new promotion after the cut. That applies even to the top and most popular fighters. Even Yoel Romero has been dismissed as a possible signing by the likes of Bellator MMA and PFL.
Maybe age is the factor for the former UFC middleweight title challenger. The Cuban fighter is now 43, but he still is one of the best in the world and can beat anybody on a good day.
