“I gotta beat these guys. I think for sure beating the guys on the top five, it says a lot. But whenever those guys don’t want to fight, I’m gonna do a Islam Makhachev, a Charles Oliver on these guys. I’m Gonna Keep a good win streak and thats gonna make it,” said Burns.

Burns also had some remarks on Islam Makhachev, the current lightweight champion in the UFC. He questioned Makhachev‘s credentials, saying that he had not beaten anyone in the top ten yet. “I don’t think Islam beat no one in the top ten. If you see, he never fought Justin, he never fought Dustin. he never fought Chandler (DC named Chandler). I’m saying the same thing they don’t want to fight, I don’t want to fight,” said Burns.

Burns has had an impressive UFC career so far, with a record of 21 wins and 5 losses. He made his UFC debut back in 2014. Burns was enjoying a 6 match win streak from the end of 2018 all the way to 2021, before he lost to Kamaru Usman.
