While appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience, podcast host Joe Rogan asked Carano how serious was the conversation about her comeback fight against Rousey back in the day. Carano answered, “It was very serious…So, you know, I am living in L.A. I used to train out of Randy Couture’s in Vegas. I had my whole group there.”

She further said, “When Dana White and Lorenzo, they invited me out, finally like you know, this had been like five years ago. They said, ‘Hey, we’d like to offer you like you know a million-dollar fight with Ronda.’ And I was like, ‘Damn, what took you guys so long?’ ”

What I told Dana and Lorenzo at that time was you know I don’t have a team… I don’t have a gym… I didn’t have any connection into where I would do this fight camp and I knew you know with the weight and everything, it was going to take me three months to get the weight stabilized and then it would take me four months to actually be in like fight camp.

Carano believed that this action by the UFC President made it harder for her to walk into a gym since everybody now knew she is looking for a team. This is the point where White and Carano did not get along well. She said, “He said something pretty aggressive over text messages. I’m sure you know he does that, and I was just like, okay, I am not going to do that.

The fighter revealed that even though she respected Ronda Rousey and was eager to get back; she was not okay with going back and immediately feeling disrespected. Carano also had another movie coming up on which she focused rather than being disrespected.
