Glover Teixeira losing to Jamahal Hill, is drawing reactions from all corners. The fight’s result left Hill in an emotional and teary-eyed celebration. On the other hand, fans saw Glover Teixeira laying down his gloves. If that was not enough, Glover Teixeira‘s cornerman John Hackleman also retired from corner duties after the fight. He later revealed that he wanted to stop the fight after Teixeira took some serious damage. The Brazilian’s loss in Rio surprised the former Light heavyweight champion and former opponent Jiri Prochazka. He said he was expecting Glover Teixeira to win and thought it was a good opportunity for Teixeira to pick up a win and the belt.

The Czech MMA fighter was talking to Popular MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. Helwani asked Prochazka about his views on the light heavyweight fight. Prochazka said he was expecting more energy and speed from Texeira. ‘Denisa’ also appreciated Jamahal Hill for his performance.

Glover Teixeira’s performance left Jiri Prochazka unimpressed

Jiri Prochazka had fought Glover Teixeira at UFC 275. Prochazka submitted Teixeira in the 5th round after the to-and-fro fight. Talking about his experience and the performance, the 30-year-old said, I was not surprised but uh I was a little bit surprised by the Glover Teixeira’s performance like his energy and his speed he was so so slow it was a little bit slow.”

‘Denisa’ has never met the new champion in the cage. He had some good things to say about Jamahal Hill. Prochazka said, amazing work from uh from Jamahal yeah amazing work from him because he did everything right yeah so congratulations to him and I’m looking forward for him.”

Prochazka will want his belt back

Prochazka said that he had already started training. He said that Jamahal was a young fighter, and he was dangerous. ‘Denisa’ thought Hill could put up a challenge for him and looked forward to meeting him in the cage.

Jiri Prochazka, however, had to relinquish his belt after he suffered an injury during training.
