Jon Jones is one of the most popular names in the sport of MMA. His ability to win fights dominantly has earned him a lot of fans who believe that ‘Bones’ is the greatest of all time. While many MMA pundits also testify to it, one man disagrees with the statement. That man is none other than the Irish fighting sensation, Conor McGregor.

In one of his tweets, McGregor ranked Jon Jones fourth on his list of GOAT’s. ‘The Notorious’ tweeted, “Jon is 4. Maybe tied 3. More array of finishes than 3 and still active, but champion status in just 1. Reasons = Multiple lacklustre decision performances + questionable decision win. Attempting to safe play HW entry/avoiding its champion.”

Jones, the former UFC 205-pound champion of the world, did not take this statement well. He responded with a series of tweets and attacked McGregor. In his first tweet, Jones tweeted, “I’m not going to debate on who is the goat, I’ll let the fans do that for me.”

Jones did not stop there. In his quest to prove the former 155-pound champion of the world wrong, Jones shared some stats in another tweet and wrote, “Goat where you at…”

A fan tweeted Jon was no 1 on the GOAT list. He also claimed that while McGregor wrote everything, he forgot to mention that Jones’ division is harder than his own.
Dude, Jon is 1. You forgot and purposely left out that it’s a harder division than yours. I love your fights and think you’re up there, but…let others determine your greatness.

Another fan commented that while McGregor is great himself, this tweet by him was a horrible take. The fan claimed Jones is no 1, GSP occupied the second place whereas Anderson Silva and McGregor were tied for third.
You’re one of the greats Conor but this is a horrible take. Jon has never lost, he is #1 all time and there’s no debate. GSP lost twice and avenged both losses with finishes. He dominated the best of the best for years. You and Anderson can be tied for 3 lol
