The actor uploaded a video on his Instagram – and addressed his fans directly. Shunning notions of any terminal illness, the comedian shed some light on his traumatic experience that has him thanking quite a number of people.

Foxx kicked off the video by thanking all his fans and well-wishers. “First of all, I want to say thank you to everybody that’s prayed, man – and sent me messages. I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” the Hollywood icon said.

He emphasized the significance of the love and support he received from his family, especially his sister, Deondra Dixon, and daughter, Corinne – who played a crucial role in his healing process. In the same vein, he further revealed that he had not turned blind – dismissing one of the wildest rumors known to fans. Moreover, he also clarified that he wasn’t paralyzed either.

The Django Unchained actor set the record straight, declaring, “I went to Hell and back, and my road to recovery has some potholes as well, but – I’m coming back – and I am able to work.” While Foxx acknowledges the challenging road to recovery, he is resilient and determined to overcome any obstacles in his path.
