The UFC has been on an upward trajectory this year. After consecutive successful events serving as a thrilling start to the year, the promotion returns to yet another massive card in April. UFC 287, headlined by middleweight champ Alex Pereira and former title holder Israel Adesanya will see the UFC hold an event in Miami after two decades. The co-main bout is bound to be an entertaining fight between Gilbert Burns and BMF star Jorge Masvidal with a slew of other stars also present on the card.

Naturally, an event of this proportion was bound to be surrounded by a lot of hype. And as fans wait in anticipation for the event, some have come up with unique creative expressions of the fighters. This naturally also drew the attention of the athletes. Reacting to one such design, Gilbert Burns shared a dope image of an artist’s rendition of the UFC 287 card. The poster had the massively popular game Grand Theft Auto as an inspiration.

Retweeting the poster by the anonymous artist, Burns reacted to it with lit emojis. And it surely was lit, as it had the fighters fit in perfectly with the GTA backdrop. Present in the frame were the two main event fighters – Pereira and Adesanya, along with Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.

Kevin Holland, Li Jingliang, and Michelle Waterson also found their way into the poster.

Burns vs Masvidal goes down in the co-main event

Apart from a mouth-watering main event, the co-main bout between Burns and Masvidal leaves fans frothing in their mouth. Both fighters bring in a ton of entertainment whenever they fight, and fans expect this bout to be yet another barn burner.

Burns secured a win in his last bout but ‘Gamebred’ has been away from the sport for a little over a year. But most importantly, the veteran is on a losing skid of three fights, which makes him a very dangerous opponent in the cage. The Brazilian has to display decisiveness and efficiency when fighting the 38-year-old due to the high stakes involved.

A win here could serve wonders for either of the duo. While ‘Durinho’ could engage in a contender fight with a victory, Masvidal could also attain reinvigorate his career.
