The UFC honored Jon Anik‘s son, Hunter, after they had his name hand-painted as a part of a UFC collectible. Jon Anik mentioned how special it was for him that the world’s premier MMA organization did that for his son in a recent episode of the ‘Anik & Florian Podcast’.

Jon Anik opens up about his son’s medical issues

During a UFC 288 recap edition, Jon Anik revealed how he was going through a difficult time as a parent. The famous commentator stated that his 4-year-old son was getting pediatric feeding therapy. Anik said, “My son has had a lot of issues. He’s almost five [and] he’s been at a pediatric feeding institute for much of his life.”

He also mentioned that his son was unable to walk or take proper antibiotics and also had other illnesses along with the eating disorder. Anik added, “He really doesn’t eat a whole lot. So he’s home right now with double ear infections, strep throat, and a big fever, and he can’t take antibiotics orally.” 

Later, he also shared a tweet thanking the people who have showered their support, to which fans have reacted.
