Joe Rogan recently raised some eyebrows after he invited Amanda Knox, who, in 2007, was wrongfully convicted of ending her roommate Meredith Kercher’s life. This is her second appearance on the $250 million-worth podcast, and so far, the episode on YouTube has garnered over 328,000 views. However, the JRE viewers expressed their displeasure with this JRE episode.

The incident that led to Amanda Knox’s incarceration happened in Italy, and it really caught the attention of the whole world. She spent time in prison for almost four years, from 2007 to 2011, as her criminal conviction was being overturned. During her recent conversation with Joe Rogan, Knox highlighted how many people fall victim to the law due to “misidentification by witnesses”, with witnesses being coerced by law enforcement authorities, which she claims is something that needs to be fixed.

“There are lots of things that are happening behind closed doors that we really don’t have an excuse for not fixing when every single one of us has a recording device in our pocket at all times,” Joe Rogan’s guest stated on the #2324 JRE episode. “And the amount of resistance to like, getting just really common sense changes like that to happen from like law enforcement lobbies is just so frustrating as someone who like shows up again and again and again to like, try to make—because it seems like this adversarial thing. Like we’re all on the same side.”

Fans sound off on Joe Rogan for his choice of podcast guests

There were some fans who, after hearing what Amanda Knox had to say, believed that her story was quite “fascinating.” But then, there were a lot more of them on the other side of the spectrum. In over 2000 episodes that Joe Rogan has dropped on his podcast, fans have had their fair share of liking and disliked guests, and it appears that Knox has found herself in the latter category. A couple of fans commented, “Hard pass on this one,” and, “No please nooo. Unfollow,” in that regard.

Meanwhile, Joe Rogan’s podcast episodes often cross two or three hours in duration, which gives him and his guests plenty of time to discuss a variety of things and intrigue his fans. But this episode, featuring Amanda Knox, didn’t seem to hit the right buttons, as one fan commented, “Turned it off 4 minutes in. Something so annoying about her,” claiming that this episode just didn’t seem appealing to him.
