Athletes are prone to lots of injuries; especially MMA fighters. Given the nature of the sport, injuries are inevitable regardless of how amazing the fighter is. For example, many consider Khabib Nurmagomedov the undisputed G.O.A.T. However, he too had to deal with several injuries during his career as an MMA fighter.

Amanda Nunes’ injury before her bout against Cris Cyborg

It is no secret that Nunes and Bellator MMA fighter Cris Cyborg are rivals. While they have fought and Nunes emerged as the winner, the fight had been delayed quite a bit. Many felt that Nunes was stalling. However, that was not the case. The delay was caused due to the UFC fighter’s foot injury. This led to both the fighters squabbling. Thankfully, they were able to agree to reschedule the fight.

Speaking about her injury prior to her fight with Cyborg, Nunes had said, “I said listen Dana White, I am not available to fight right now. I just make 135 I had injury, but maybe if she accepted it at the end of the year, I’m going to be at 100 percent.”

Looking at Nunes’ most recent fights, it seems that she has experienced injuries in almost all of them. She has also had nasal issues and previously experienced an attack of sinusitis while in the octagon. The fighter underwent salt therapy for the same.
