It has been more than a year since the noted UFC star, Khamzat Chimaev, took the octagon for the last time. However, the Chechnya native gave another example of his dominance in his last fight as well. He submitted his opponent, Kevin Holland, just a few minutes into the initial stanza of his UFC 279 bout. Several UFC fans consider Chimaev one of the scariest fighters on the current UFC roster.
Apart from Holland, ‘Borz’ has also obliterated most of his other UFC opponents, which resulted in the fans forming such an opinion about him. They may also remember how Chimaev lifted and carried his UFC 267 rival, Li Jingliang, to the UFC CEO and then submitted him. Well, a look at these tells us that the fans aren’t pretty wrong in calling Chimaev scary. Due to this, a number of them have also wondered whether Chimaev has ever lost in his pro-MMA career. Most UFC fans are probably aware of the fact that Chimaev hasn’t lost a single UFC fight to date. He holds a pretty much unblemished 6-0 record in the UFC. But a large chunk of them may not know about Chimaev’s pro-MMA record prior to his UFC entry. The Chechen started off his pro-MMA career in 2018 under a promotion named ‘International Ring Fight Arena’.
He also won his first pro-MMA bout in dominant fashion. Chimaev didn’t showcase any signs of slowing down as he went on winning his fights. His superb prowess is probably what got him into the sights of the UFC authorities just after six pro-MMA fights for other promotions.

Currently, the number of ‘Borz’s’ UFC fights is equal to the number of fights he had outside the UFC. However, the common factor between them is that he hasn’t lost any of his fights, either inside or outside the UFC. Chimaev took on Gard Olve Sagen as his first-ever pro-MMA rival under the IRFA. He achieved a superb TKO victory in the second round of the bout.
Following this, ‘Borz’ migrated to ‘Fight Club Rush’ but only had a single fight under the promotion. He defeated his FCR rival Ole Magnor via a rear-naked choke submission in the very first round of the bout. ‘Borz’ fought the last four of his outside UFC fights for ‘Brave CF’ and won all of them. He fought for the last time under Brave CF on October 4, 2019, against Mzwandile Hlongwa and defeated him via a lesser-known Brabo choke.
