‘The Diamond’ was talking in an interview with MMA Junkie. During the conversation, he detailed his thoughts on the McGregor-Chandler matchup. He said, “It’s going to be tough to do being a you know open stance him. Him being Orthodox and Conor being southpaw to calf kick or get around that ankle is going to be tough. He’s gonna have switch kick or switch stance and that might get him in trouble as well and I’m sure this long of a layoff and the team kind of has around him. He’s going to go in there recovered.

He added, “Just if the timing and the want to be in there is still there like he’s [Conor McGregor] saying it is but we got to see it. We got to see it in action and I think if he is like I said before, similar to the guy he was, I think he stops Chandler.

McGregor suffered a severe injury during the bout between him and Poirier at UFC 264. Now, many believe that McGregor won’t fight well because of his broken leg. However, Poirier believes that he will be able to win again if he still has the thirst inside him. Moreover, ‘The Diamond’ has also fought against Chandler at UFC 281.
