What does Ilia Topuria think about a fight with Alexander Volkanovski?

Topuria recently appeared on ‘The MMA Hour’ with Ariel Helwani. Soon after the conversation commenced, the duo stumbled upon Topuria’s face-off against Volkanovski at UFC 290. “He can say whatever he wants to say. I know what gonna happen when we’re gonna face each other,” he said. ‘El Matador’ claimed that he knew how the fight between them would proceed and Volkanovski can say whatever he wanted. That intrigued Helwani and he asked whether the fighter thought a fight with the Australian would be as easy one for him.

Topuria replied, “For me, yes, it’s going to be an easy fight… I always said like every time I move up in the rankings, every fight is going to be more easy for me. And why? Because it’s more easy to have a game plan against guys who are more technical than fight with someone who’s unpredictable.”

He believed that the fights were going to be easier every single time he moved up in the rankings. He reasoned that he had a game plan against the fighters, who are more technical and predictable. It is indeed a tougher fight to go against unpredictable fighters.
