

Rogan discussed the rise of internet star Jake Paul in combat sports in a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience with sports broadcaster Radio Rahim. The two discussed how the fighter rose to prominence as well as his business mindset, which has earned him millions.

However, Radio Rahim did not believe Paul was ready to face Canelo Alvarez in the boxing ring just yet. Jake Paul has been lobbying for a boxing match with Canelo, and Rogan has chimed in on the likelihood of this occurring.

Rogan said,” It’s not like Canelo’s like waiting to fight him. Canelo’s got a lot of things he’s doing, he doesn’t have any time to be waiting around on Jake Paul. He’s not really gonna fight him, he’s gotta fight Golovkin in the rematch if he beats Bivol.”

“He’s got things lined up,” added Rogan.

In his podcast episode, the UFC color commentator praised the Youtuber turned boxer. He hailed Jake Paul’s knockout victory against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley as “legit as f*ck” and suggested Paul “can crack.”
Rogan also stated that Jake Paul has “hustle” and was impressed when he learned that Paul has now expanded out into fighting promotion.

He said,” You know what’ll be the craziest sh*t of all time? If Tyson Fury says ‘I’m just gonna take a couple of years off and I’m gonna learn MMA… I’m gonna come back and f*ck everybody up.”

Rogan also discussed Tyson Fury’s retirement from boxing. He said that he doesn’t buy it. Radio Rahim also added to this and justified that Fury wouldn’t retire until he beats every heavyweight in boxing.
