The company has amplified the careers of various such athletes and helped them achieve global stardom. One such athlete is none other than Khamzat Chimaev. Recently, NBA superstar Michael Carter-Williams gave his opinion on a potential fight between Chimaev and rising star Shavkat Rakhmonov.

With the recent UFC card done and dusted, “MMA Junkie” took to Twitter to ask the public if Rakhmonov was better than Chimaev. Carter-Williams quoted the tweet and gave his verdict on this fantasy matchup.

He tweeted, “I don’t think so. I like Shavkat but to me he doesn’t look as physical as Khamzat. But great fight in the future.” Both Rakhmonov and Chimaev are currently undefeated and will be looking at securing the title in the coming years.

Chimaev has had a meteoric rise in the UFC. The Swedish fighter is currently undefeated with a professional record of 11 wins and no losses. Chimaev joined the promotion back in 2020 and took his first fight against John Phillips.

‘Borz’ dominated every minute of the fight and secured the victory in the second round via a D’arce choke. He then fought twice in the same year, knocking out both his opponents in the first round. Chimaev had a phenomenal year and kick-started his journey in the UFC.
