Recently, he showered Nurmagomedov with great words for the dedication he has for his teammates. Mendez highlights that Nurmagomedov places immense importance on his teammates, family, and friends. According to him, the UFC legend is someone who has showcased his exceptional character outside of the octagon. At present, Nurmagomedov has retired from coaching and fighting. However, the AKA head coach got nostalgic about the time when the Russian fighter played the role of a coach.

He emphasized the Russian fighter’s unwavering commitment. He used to invest significant time and effort in guiding his teammates, sharing his knowledge to help them excel in their own fighting careers. Nurmagomedov’s dedication to his teammates goes beyond mere training sessions. Nurmagomedov, whose net worth is around $40,000,000, makes sure that he offers financial help to his teammates. Mendez went on to talk about how Nurmagomedov gave his teammates half of the money he got from signing.

 ‘The Eagle’ has always been a source of inspiration for his teammates. He has also ensured that they receive the necessary support to reach their full potential. To prove the generosity of the former lightweight champion, the AKA head coach narrated an incident where Nurmagomedov gave $1000 to each of his teammates. While talking in his podcast, Mendez told how Nurmagomedov got some money for signing cards. He gave a thousand dollars to Mendez through Movlid Khaybulaev.

Later he said, “So Khabib gave everybody a thousand bucks because he made some money, so he gave everybody–probably, honestly speaking, he gave half of what he made to all of us, all the fighters that were there. He gave us all–I’m pretty sure it was a thousand a piece, he gave us all a thousand a piece

Nurmagomedov’s coach added, “He’s such a beautiful person inside and outside, especially for his family and his fighters and brothers. Brothers meaning fighters, ’cause we’re all brothers to him. He’s [a brother] to us, and a lot of people just don’t realize what kind of generosity he has and what kind of big heart he has.” From the words of Mendez, it is clear that he considers Nurmagomedov as a great human.

The kindest gesture from ‘The Eagle’

Back in January, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s student Gadzhi Rabadanov won over his opponent Koji Takeda at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo. It was a crossover event between Bellator MMA and Rizin FF. Takeda lost the bout in front of his own people. Unable to handle the grief, the fighter broke into tears. Nurmagomedov was present there. He came inside the cage and gave a few words of encouragement to the fighter. Later, he raised his hands. As a coach, Nurmagomedov displayed the right attitude and won the internet. The act proved that ‘The Eagle’ is indeed a great coach who cares about the emotions of other fighters.
