When the UFC announced Conor McGregor was returning to The Ultimate Fighter, fans had reason to celebrate. But those sentiments seemed to have changed now. Team McGregor is currently trailing 0-4 to Team Chandler and McGregor’s coaching efforts are under the lens. Many feel that the Irishman’s involvement in the coaching role is not as dedicated as that of Michael Chandler. Now, a TUF 31 contestant has come forward with some revelations regarding the same.

Conor McGregor gave one of the most entertaining seasons of TUF when he coached against Urijah Faber in 2015. TUF 22 was peak entertainment, thanks to the witty insults McGregor threw at his opposing coach. There was no shortage of drama, either. Therefore, fans were expecting more of the same from the current season.

However, Michael Chandler has been more involved with his fighters at every stage of the competition than McGregor, and it shows. The Irishman not showing up to weigh-ins and not cornering his fighters is not going down well with the fans.

Now, Team Chandler member Austin Hubbard has stepped forward with some insights from his time on the show.

Conor McGregor may have missed some key moments on TUF 31

In a recent interview. Austin Hubbard talked about what it was like to share the screen with Conor McGregor on TUF 31. The 31-year-old has already earned Team Chandler a win by beating Aaron McKenzie. He had some takes on what McGregor could be doing wrong. He also gave his thoughts on why the former UFC champion may not have been as present as Chandler.

Hubbard said, “He missed some things for sure, which kind of leads into what I was talking about. I wasn’t sure what you would get out of him attention-wise just because I knew, you know he’s a busy man.”
