There is no doubt that Joe Rogan is one of the best commentators to be a part of the UFC. His natural flair to make a great conversation is something that his fans love. Apart from commentating Rogan is also a podcast host. In a recent episode on his podcast, Rogan and UFC fighter Marlon Vera were seen discussing various fights.
After discussing the Nunes-Peña fight, they spoke about the most anticipated fight: Charles Oliveira versus Dustin Poirier. It was a smashing bout, and Oliveira emerged victorious as he successfully submitted his opponent. Speaking about Oliveira, Rogan said, “I mean Oliveira had to keep adjusting on Dustin before he finally got it.”

Comparing the way Oliveira and Peña choked their opponents, Rogan said, “He went behind the head, you know. He had the hand behind the head and he got that ultimate leverage too from that. That was, that was, Charles Oliveira is a bad motherf***er. He is a bad motherf***er.”

While Oliveira was able to choke Poirier and he seemed in complete control, the same was not the case with Peña. Peña’s choke was on Nunes’ chin and yet ‘The Lioness’ tapped out. This pushed Rogan to criticize her.
Vera added and said, “The only thing that I was thinking about it, without pulling the glove, you wouldn’t end on top.”
Rogan agreed with Vera and said, “True… That was a cheap move.”
Both Joe Rogan and Marlon Vera were of the opinion that Oliveira should have lost a point for the illegal move. They further proceeded to discuss other fighters that have engaged in such tactics.

While Rogan condemned Oliveira for grabbing Poirier’s glove, he had to agree that he held ‘The Diamond’ in a deep choke. Poirier tried his best to slip out, but it did not work. With no other option, he had to tap.

It was an absolutely crazy sight to see Oliveira jump on Poirier’s back and proceed to choke him with his left arm.
