Following a loss at UFC 256, Moicano was quick to retaliate in his next fight. He has now secured himself a place in the lightweight division. The 32-year-old is not stopping now and wants the promotion to set up a fight soon.

Recently, in an interview, the Brazilian revealed the name of a lightweight fighter he wants to face next inside the octagon. He said, He’s a great fighter that not too many people want to fight, so I’d be more than willing to test jiu-jitsu against his wrestling.”

He added, “I’ll work twice as hard at lightweight. Gillespie is avoided by others, right? My strategy is to ask for those fights, ask for fights that nobody wants. Nobody wants to fight this guy. He’s good, he’s at the top, so I want him. If you don’t want it, I’ll take it.”

The Brazilian fighter wishes to enter the octagon as soon as possible, and he clearly has a name that interests him. Moicano had his own reasons for calling out Gillespie from the entire lightweight roster. However, it is in the hands of the promotion; until then, Moicano has to wait for the decision.
