“He Is Well Aware of That Rumour”: UFC Legend Gives His Two Cents on What Michael Chandler Must Be Feeling Regarding the Uncertainty of His Fight Against Conor McGregor

The UFC president Dana White announced at the beginning of this year that Conor McGregor will be making his comeback against Michael Chandler. But the fans are yet to know about the date and venue of the fight. UFC legend Chael Sonnen can only imagine what ‘Iron’ must be going through with the lack of information regarding his next fight.

Fans are eager to see McGregor back inside the octagon after nearly two years of inactivity. The 53-year-old promoter even mentioned that the UFC doesn’t know in which weight category the fight will take place. This added more doubts over the fact possibility of the fight ever taking place.

Chael Sonnen imagines what Michael Chandler is going through

‘The American Gangster’ mentions that ‘Iron’ is well aware of the fact that he’s going to fight Conor McGregor by the end of the year. But after Dana White told ‘Sports Illustrated’ that Jon Jones will be fighting Stipe Miocic at UFC 295, Chandler could start having doubts about his fight against McGregor, which was announced before the Stipe vs Jones fight.

Chael Sonnen said, “Chandler knows the rumor that he and McGregor are supposed to be fighting in November. He is well aware of that rumor.” The UFC legend added, “Chandler is at home and he hears that it’s still Stipe and Jones are on that card. He’s gotta be looking around and going, ‘What about me? It’s one of those spots.” Sonnen states that doubts become fair questions as time goes by.

In a previous video on his YouTube channel, ‘The American Gangster’ expressed his concerns about Conor McGregor‘s UFC comeback. He claims that the details regarding the Irishman’s comeback and his next fight aren’t as accurate as many people think it is. He is aware of the fact that the MMA business requires the secrecy of some information. But it may not be long before Chandler starts asking questions.

Sonnen claims that due to the vagueness of the situation, ‘Iron’ may decide to fight another opponent instead. Although the dates haven’t been announced, there are still speculations that the fight may take place as early as September. However, Conor McGregor is still out of the USADA testing pool. This makes the speculations of the fight more ambiguous.
