Gilbert Burns discusses the TUF accusations against Conor McGregor

UFC Welterweight star Gilbert Burns recently appeared in the ‘Submission Radio Podcast’ where he was asked about what was going on with Conor McGregor and TUF. He said, “As much as I know, I think UFC got all the fighters.” He added, “They have got a lot of names and they start the trials.”

‘Durinho’ mentioned that the fighters have to go through a lot of obstacles during the trials before they get selected as a member of the TUF cast for the upcoming season.

The 36-year-old revealed that he had to film for the first couple of weeks with Michael Chandler. But he was in a fight camp. He then talked about the process of TUF. “They [UFC] select all the fighters before, all the names …they do a tryout for it, interviews and a bunch of things,” said Burns.

He then talked about the first day Conor McGregor arrived for filming. The Irishman brought a few guys with him. Burns said, “The day that they start filming, Conor McGregor got here. I think he brought two or three of his own guys. And I don’t know exactly what happened, but he just brought his guys in and took a couple of guys out.”

Loik Radzhabov, who was a 2-time PFL finalist at lightweight, was one of the notable contestants left out of the upcoming season of TUF. ‘Durinho’ even compared him to a current UFC fighter and said, “Loik [Radzhabov] was one of the guys that went out.” He added, “He’s a two-time PFL finalist …The guy fights like freaking Justin Gaethje.”

His statement clearly indicates the occurrence of unfair play in the 31st season of TUF. But there has been no official statement on this issue by concerned authorities.
