Soon after the spectacular fight showcased by Gaethje, UFC superstar Conor McGregor took to the X platform to call out the new BMF champion. With no time, McGregor gave a one-word reply to Gatheje: “signed”. This led many to believe that the former UFC double champion was desperate to win the BMF belt. However, McGregor’s action didn’t sit well with Gaethje’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz. Abdelaziz, who is also the manager of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, believes that McGregor is chasing clout. Abdelaziz has some reasons to feel that way. Let’s find out.

Ali Abdelaziz verbally tears apart Conor McGregor

Ali Abdelaziz was having a conversation with TMZ Sports. During the chat, he was asked about his thoughts on McGregor calling out his star client. As a response to the question, Abdelaziz said, “Conor McGregor, he lost himself. He doesn’t know who he is. He’s a guy who isn’t even a fighter, he’s a retired fighter. He’s not in the USADA program, he probably weighs almost close to 200 pounds.

Talking further about McGregor, the manager added, “Just wants clout. Justin Gaethje’s a gladiator. Dustin Poirier’s a gladiator. Kamaru Usman, Islam, Max Holloway, all those guys are gladiators. He’s not a gladiator anymore.According to Abdelaziz, McGregor is no longer a great fighter who has the ability to finish the current top fighters in the UFC. Furthermore, the Irishman also failed to enter the USADA testing pool to return to the UFC octagon. Gaethje’s manager strongly feels that the Irishman is trying to grab the attention of the fight fans by using the name Gaethje. However, Abdelaziz did not completely rule out the possibility of his client facing off against ‘The Notorious’.

Gaethje’s manager has two conditions

A few days ago, Ali Abdelaziz put forward two conditions for McGregor to fight against Justin Gaethje. ‘ The Highlight’s manager said that if McGregor wants to fight against Gaethje, he has to make weight for a lightweight showdown. The second condition was that the Irishman should clear multiple USADA tests. Abdelaziz claimed that if McGregor can meet these two conditions, he can fight Gaethje.

"Like many, my journey into the beautiful game began by watching the mesmerizing Lionel Messi, as his impeccable vision on the pitch and role as a playmaker, meticulously calculating the path to goal always amazed me. This fascination with the finer details of soccer strategy naturally extended to my interest in content strategy. However, my zeal for being a soccer content analyst is not only because of Messi's magic, as I am a keen follower of the Becks as well. While in David Beckham, it was a special affinity for his mastery of crosses, passes, and set pieces, in Victoria Beckham, the fashion queen, I find inspiration in how she masterfully navigated the world of aesthetics and brand identity. This unique blend of admiration for both the tactical intricacies of soccer and the world of fashion and entertainment helps me to cover the game from angles that seamlessly balance sport and entertainment. Before joining EssentiallySports, I worked as a content analyst as well. A Master's degree in English and Comparative Literature from a premiere institute has helped me hone my writing skills and given me a unique perspective on the world of sports. Interestingly, besides soccer, I also extensively covered UFC, especially the Joe Rogan podcast. In my free time, I enjoy reading and keeping up with the latest developments in the world of sports.
