Retired MMA fighter Brendan Schaub discussed this matchup on ‘The Fighter and the Kid’. Speaking about Chimaev, he said, “Khamzat-Burns is a fight. Yeah, cause also Khamzat, as much as we are on his chin strap and hairy n**s which I am, but he hasn’t fought the upper echelon guys and Gilbert Burns is an upper-echelon guy. He also, we haven’t seen him in championship rounds, we haven’t seen him face diversity. Like we don’t know.”
While Schaub said what many people wanted to hear, it seems like he made a mistake while doing so. Many pointed out that the right word to use might have been ‘adversity’ and not ‘diversity’. Here’s how Twitter reacted to this slip-up.
