Chael Sonnen has targeted Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal multiple times in the episodes of ‘Bad Guy Inc’. He has both appraised, and made fun of the UFC fighter in the show. Recently, Sonnen revisited some of Masvidal’s old stories and claimed that he missed the young and aggressive Jorge Masvidal.

The former MMA fighter, Chael Sonnen, talks about how young Jorge revealed that his father, Masvidal Sr. was breaking parole, that too on national television.

Jorge Masvidal Sr. was arrested and sentenced to twenty-two years in prison based on drug charges. He got out of prison after eighteen years on parole. Even though he wasn’t allowed to leave Florida, he had to watch his son’s early wins. He did so by violating the parole.

Jorge Masvidal had won his bout against Yves Edwards, in Trenton, New Jersey. He knocked Edwards out with a kick to the head. Although he dedicated the fight to his father, revealing that he was violating parole on national TV was outrageous. That’s what Chael Sonnen believes.

Chael Sonnen revisits Jorge Masvidal’s old stories. The time when Masvidal exposed his father on national television still leaves him dumbstruck. “He outed his dad”, exclaimed Sonnen. “He says I just want to thank my pops. He’s on parole in Florida”, said Sonnen, “He’s not allowed to leave the state but he snuck out just to support his little boy. Love you, Pops.”

“He outed his dad for breaking parole, but it meant so much to him that his father was there in the third row, cheering him up”, Sonnen goes on a rant. He claims that he has several such stories about Masvidal.

In any case, it is understandable for a son to be happy to see his father in his early bouts. But, declaring that his father was violating his parole was probably not the best thing that he could have said. Although ‘Gamebred’ meant to simply show his appreciation, he said a lot more than what was needed.
