UFC color commentator, podcast host, and comedian Joe Rogan recently opened his own comedy club, ‘Comedy Mothership.’ He became the first comedian to own a comedy club. Additionally, his friend and fellow comedian and Holywood actor Pauly Shore recently revealed in a recent interview that comedians feel liberated in his comedy club.

Joe Rogan’s comedy club was in the works for almost two years. When his anti-woke club finally opened, he had a vision for it. The 55-year-old aims to foster new comedic talents while also working to get the comedians paid. Many fellow notable names in comedy have performed in his club and it appears that they like it.

Pauly Shore claims comedians “feel free” in the comedy club established by Joe Rogan

Pauly Shore seemed happy after the JRE host opened his comedy club in Austin, Texas. He understands that it is a big step for Joe Rogan and mentioned that his fellow comedians all share the same sentiment in a recent interview with FOX. Shore said, “Well, you know he is a fellow comedian. It’s a big shot for him.” He added, “Any time a fellow comedian has got a big opportunity, all the other comedians show up.”

When asked whether comedians need to watch what they say keeping in mind what’s happening around the world, Pauly Shore mentioned that there are exceptions to it. He stated that when people have phones and capture snippets from their performances, certain jokes may end up on the wrong side of things when shared on social media. However, that isn’t the case with Joe Rogan’s comedy club. Shore said, “We’re all playing Joe Rogan’s club right now in Austin, and he puts all the phones in pouches. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Bert’s [Kreischer] been there, and a lot of comics that work there feel free.”

The ‘Encino Man’ star mentioned that the location of Joe Rogan’s comedy club is a great choice. He loves the city of Austin while also mentioning that ‘Comedy Mothership’ has a lot of great stand-up comedians. He said, “Austin is great. It’s very focused, and he [Rogan] just has great comics on that stage.”

Joe Rogan has said many times that he wants his comedy club to be a stress-free zone for comedians. ‘Comedy Mothership’ is meant to be a place where comics can joke about anything they want, be it offensive or not, without having to fear getting canceled.

In the past, Rogan has championed comedy that has been criticized by his critics. This is primarily one of the reasons why he created his own comedy club – a platform that lets comedians enjoy their performances without the fear of facing any backlash.
