“He Shouldn’t Have Been Nowhere Near a Microphone”: Justin Gaethje Lashes Out at “Very Unprofessional” Michael Bisping for UFC 286 Commentary

Justin Gaethje started the year with a win. He was able to subdue Rafael Fiziev in a five-round fight. He came out on top by decision. While he must be happy with his performance in the cage, ‘The Highlight’ wasn’t too happy with the commentary for the main event. In the post-fight media interaction, the American slammed UFC legend and commentator Michael Bisping for biased commentary. Gaethje was of the opinion that Kamaru Usman should have been the winner. He ripped ‘The Count’ apart for being biased toward Leon Edwards.

Justin Gaethje expressed his dissent about the result of the main event where ‘Rocky’ was adjudged the winner against ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’. He expressed his opinions blatantly when a reporter asked him about his views on the main event.

Justin Gaethje was not happy with Bisping’s commentary

When a reporter asked the Lightweight contender, Gaethje about what he thought about the main event. ‘The Highlight’ looked pretty disappointed by the results and the commentary. The 24-4-0 record holder said, “Yeah, I mean I thought he won the fight, but I am probably as biased as the judges, certainly not as biased as Michael Bisping, he shouldn’t have been nowhere near a microphone, during that fight. Yeah, sucks. Is that something that UFC should look at, having guys who are friends of the people fighting or commenting? It’s not my call, but it was very unprofessional. ”

Bisping didn’t have a good outing as a commentator for UFC 286. He made a blunder while commenting during the Jennifer Maia and Casey O’Neill. This got him some criticism from UFC fans. It’s to be noted that ‘The Count’ was confirmed as the commentator for UFC 286 days before the event. He replaced Joe Rogan.

Justin Gaethje halts Fiziev’s winning train

The 34-year-old won a close fight and moved ahead in line for a shot at the title. Rafael Fiziev was coming into the octagon with a six-fight winning streak. Things, however, changed at UFC 286. The American outboxed ‘Ataman’ with 66 significant strikes to the head and 49 percent accuracy. The effort left Fiziev with a bloodied face.
