Iron Mike doesn’t believe that Ciryl Gane will ever be the same following the conclusion of UFC 270’s title fight. Francis Ngannou proved to the world that he is more than just a power puncher. He can now actually out-wrestle his opponents and showed that at UFC 270.

Despite sustaining injuries to his knees, Tyson believes ‘The Predator’ remained adamant to defend his title and, in doing so, he has seriously hampered Gane’s spirit.

In a round table conversation with retired Mixed martial artists Daniel Cormier, Brendan Schaub, and more, Iron Mike shared his thoughts about UFC 270’s main event.

He said, “When he fought Ciryl, when he fought Ciryl, he took his heart, he took Ciryl’s heart a little bit. Because listen right man to man he can’t beat Ciryl, he can’t beat him in a straight-up fight, free fight man for man. He got to get him. he had to rough him up, he can’t fight that guy head up, he can’t fight that guy its a losing game”

Is Mike Tyson correct about Ciryl Gane’s mental state?

It is never an easy task to bounce back from such a brutal loss, and reigning champion Ngannou has faced that as well. It altered the course of his career, and now the French fighter has found himself riding the same boat. Despite winning the first two rounds decisively, things went completely sideways when the champion introduced wrestling into the fight. This unpredictable adjustment on the fly stunned the world and Gane must have felt the brunt as well.

Gane has taken a backseat in the title picture, and he will have to fight other contenders to prove himself all over again. These losses can sometimes take away a fighter’s confidence and losing to an injured fighter can add exacerbate the pain even more.
