The boxing world should commend Logan Paul and Dillon Danis for making their fight interesting. The banter they exchanged was already harsh and quite amusing up to a certain point. However, Danis’s antics, such as involving Nina Adgal, Logan Paul’s fiancée, were excessive for the ‘Maverick’. Danis has persistently attacked the couple in the digital realm, and this constant mockery may have had some impact on Paul’s mental well-being.

The world is now eagerly anticipating the match; however, many people hold the belief that Danis might withdraw from it, as he has done in his previous fights, despite instigating the match himself. Daniel Cormier shares this view. The former UFC legend believes that Danis will pull out of the game at the last moment.

Daniel Cormier doubts that Dillon Danis will ever show up to the fight and Ben Askren doubts Logan Paul

Dillon Danis’s fighting skills may not be that impressive but the former Bellator fighter does know how to break his opponent’s mind through words and actions, thanks to his friendship with Conor McGregor. ‘El jefe’ in his pursuit to damage Logan Paul’s legacy and image has gone behind his soon-to-be-wife Nina Adgal. In a twist of fate, Danis faced the repercussions of his actions when Adgal initiated a substantial legal battle. She demanded a staggering sum of $150,000 in damages.

Daniel Cormier recently engaged in a conversation with Ben Askren on his YouTube channel. While having the conversation Cormier stated that he is skeptical about Danis’s showing up to the fight. He added “ I believe that Dillon Danis does not show up to this fight. I don’t think he shows up bro. I’ve seen him scheduled for multiple fights over the course of the few last years and he has not fought since he had that fight in Bellator”. Cormier further quotes that Danis has taken the banter too far and asked Askren’s opinion on this.

Askren was clear in his mind and turned the tables against the Paul brothers by casually taking Danis’s side for a few minutes. He added “ he [Dillon Danis] did win the trash talk because he got inside Logan Paul’s head so bad that Logan Paul is suing him. They’re suing him. That’s insane. I don’t like it at all. You know, I guess I take extra offense. I fought Logan’s brother, and he tried talking about my wife. It wasn’t a big deal, you know why? Because I’ve got a great wife, and I love her, and we have no issues. But if your wife has a checkered past, we’ll say, and Dillon Danis has provided us plenty of receipts of this, then maybe you’re a little more self-conscious about your significant other.”

Askren added that Jake Paul did similar things with his wife which is being done by Danis. Jake Paul in order to provoke Askren for their clash made disrespectful comments about Askren’s wife, Amy Askren. Jake Paul stated that Askren’s wife complimented his appearance when he messaged her, however, this turned out to be fake. Paul even used the slur ‘thi*c’ against Amy Askren. In the end, the couple laughed it off and uploaded a video where they took Paul’s banter in a rather humorous manner.

Dillon Danis’s history of withdrawing from fights

Dillon Danis has gathered a ton of attention in recent months due to his feud with Logan Paul. Even though the date of their impending clash is near, there’s still uncertainty from Danis’s side. “El jefe’ has had a history of withdrawing from fights. “El Jefe,” has gained notoriety for his inconsistency in recent years, evident in his 2-0 professional record and a striking 60% cancellation rate for his fights.

The former Bellator fighter had cancelled his fights including Bellator 221 and Bellator 228 citing undisclosed reasons. The most recent cancellation, a boxing match with KSI under Misfits Boxing in January 2023, further underscores the uncertainty surrounding his career. With just four days remaining for their ultimate showdown, Danis might hint at a possible withdrawal. However, nothing has been made certain till now.
