Kamaru Usman is the reigning UFC welterweight champion and has been so for over years. The fighter has often proved why he is considered one of the best fighters of the era. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is very successful today and has achieved much success in every aspect of life.

Recently the fighter talked about the same, and how he credits his father for everything. Usman talks about how his father always wanted a better life for them and was an ambitious man.

Usman said, ‘”Yeah, that ties into taking pride in who you are as a man, and your family, and what you provide for them. He truly wanted a better life for us. So dealing with the circumstances that we were dealing with in Nigeria, yes, they weren’t the worst. But my dad saw a better life, he had ambition.”

Now the position I am in, and looking back, all I have is to thank him for giving me the opportunity to be able to exercise and get to this level.”

While there is no denying the fact that Usman’s hard work has helped him reach where he is, it is great to see the fighter loving and acknowledging what his father has done for him and his family.
