Not every negotiation between the boss and fighters goes well. And this was exactly the reason that turned Francis Ngannou into a free agent. Ngannou was at the peak of his career, reigning as the heavyweight champion when he left the world’s biggest MMA promotion.

‘The Predator’ took such a huge step after several negotiations with the boss failed utterly. The former heavyweight champion kept a few conditions in front of Dana White, which included increased pay, insurance for fighters, clarity on his contracts, and permission to fight outside the promotion. White was not ready to submit to any of the conditions put forth by the Frenchman. At the moment, the UFC boss has clearly mentioned that Ngannou won’t be returning to the organization as he is difficult to deal with.

Dana White was talking on the Pat McAfee show, during which White was asked if Ngannou would be back to the UFC. As an answer to the question, the UFC boss said, No. We worked with this guy [Francis Ngannou] for two years, we tried to get him a fight. He’s absolutely impossible to deal with.

White added, “He’ll never be in the UFC again. So, he made his decision – we worked hard, man. One of my guys, Hunter Campbell [Chief Business Officer], who works for me, must have done 75 dinners with his guy [Ngannou], trying to get him on board. We offered him a lot of money, showed him nothing but respect. We wanted to keep him, and that ship has sailed.
