‘Ninja’ said, “He said he’s the best boxer; I know I’m the best striker. So this fight is going to be a standing fight and I guarantee you when the fight is finished, he will be walking with the crutches.”

Many people consider Holloway to be amongst the best boxers to be a part of the UFC. On the other hand, Chikadze is a kickboxing legend and has incredible striking capabilities. Therefore, it is clear that whenever these two fighters face each other, it will be a standing fight.

Recently Chikadze has been trying various things to garner Holloway’s attention. The fighter had even claimed that if they ever faced each other, he would defeat Holloway within the first 2 rounds.

At this moment, though, a fight between Holloway and ‘Ninja’ seems unlikely, as Holloway is expected to face Yair Rodriguez in November.

What next for Giga Chikadze?

Recently Chikadze had claimed that he would be willing to be the backup fighter for the divisional title fight at UFC 266. However, no official announcement about that has yet been made.

The other thing Chikadze wanted to do was fight Max Holloway, and even though it is unlikely, that could happen. As even though Holloway is being touted to face Rodriguez, the fight between Chikadze and ‘Blessed’ will certainly be a more popular fight and that could tempt the UFC to make this fight.
