Demetrious Johnson lays down the benefits of a cold water plunge

54-year-old Dana White was told he had exactly 10.4 years to live in the year 2022. However, the UFC CEO surprised everyone with his transformation over the years. White lost an impressive 36lb (16kg) during his journey and has shared the secret behind it on multiple occasions. This time around, Johnson decided to have a look at the UFC head’s morning routine on his YouTube channel. White has always been a huge advocate of cold plunging and has been doing it for two years as revealed by him during the video.

It seems Johnson is also a fan of the practice, as he claimed on his YouTube channel, “The cold plunge is absolutely amazing man.” The 37-year-old is one of the fittest individuals to ever grace the Octagon. He is known for his speed and explosiveness inside the Octagon and is showing no signs of slowing down. ‘Mighty Mouse’ then shared the benefits of cold plunging.

He said, “Basically, the theory is one of is that it takes all the lactic acid out of your muscles. Because your body wants to keep the organs, you know warm. Now there have been more studies saying that you never wanna do it right after a workout. Because that Lactic acid has some building properties healing properties that your body naturally produce”.

He claimed that he was back to his full fitness and even felt like a 25-year-old again. The man behind his incredible transformation is Gary Brecka. Brecka has always been an advocate of the cold water plunge and even terms it as the best workout.

He appeared on his podcast ‘Diary of a CEO’ on his YouTube channel to share the benefits of the cold water plunge. Brecka termed the routine as the best cardio to lose body weight and said, “anywhere near” for any other exercise routine. He added, “If you wanna strip fat off your body, get in cold water for 3-6 minutes a day”. It seems that the cold-water plunge has some benefits from looking at White and his transformation. Even Demetrious Johnson also feels the same and listed down its benefits.
