“He’d Simply Be Too Powerful”: Jon Jones Agreeing to Train With Alex Pereira Sends UFC Star Jalin Turner and Fans Into Frenzy

In the electrifying world of the UFC, one name stands tall as the undeniable benchmark of success and that is Jon Jones. He has attained the zenith of his profession and is revered by both combatants and fans alike. And Guess what? Déjà vu, as his MMA expertise once again got hailed by another UFC superstar who recently transitioned into the light heavyweight division.

In a recent interview, Alex Pereira was asked to express his thoughts on Jon Jones. He was, perhaps, swift and unequivocal in his praise for Jones when asked about him. Furthermore, speaking high of ‘Bones’ surely made him a head turner eventually, as his statements were gripping enough to spark the attention of not only the enthusiasts, but also another lightweight starlet, Jalin Turner.

Everything began when ‘Poatan’s’ comments were highlighted on Instagram by a renowned MMA page, Freak MMA. Surprisingly, it was a two-slide-post which even surfaced the reply of the heavyweight champion Jon Jones. When prompted to share his thoughts on Jon Jones, Alex Pereira wasted no time in responding with resounding praise for the heavyweight bigwig.

He quoted, “An amazing fighter, one of the best of all times for me. And I have never had contact with him either, but he looks like a very humble guy, a really nice guy. I would also like to train with him one day and meet him.”

Intriguingly, the Instagram post even featured Jones’ response to the immense amount of praise he got. He quoted, ‘I would be honored’. Well, Pereira seemed to be gripped by Jones’ charisma. He shed light on why he was looking forward to work with him, as it was evident from his comments. Despite the fact that he had never spoken to Jones, he exalted him. Consequently, his thoughts dragged the attentions of not only the fans but the UFC lightweight aspect Jalin Turner as well.

‘Poatan’s’ ideas sparked a lot of discussion among the supporters. While the majority of them appeared to support Pereira, some of them made subtle jabs at him since they noticed his smile, which was unusual for the supporters. In fact, Jalin Turner gave Pereira’s ideas an appreciation of his remarks. He quoted, “That’d be a good move”. While he agreed to the comments, the fans had the following reactions:

Having defeated Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291, Alex Pereira has unquestionably established himself as a top contender in the fiercely contested light heavyweight class.
