Conor McGregor recently took to Twitter to congratulate his fellow UFC fighters on their achievements. ‘The Notorious’ is one of four fighters in the company’s history to hold two titles simultaneously. The others are Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Henry Cejudo.
It is needless to say McGregor is in elite company. On the fourth anniversary of his historic achievement, he took to Twitter and declared the day as the “World Champ Champ” day.

Henry Cejudo didn’t seem impressed and lashed out. ‘Triple C’ who is also an Olympic Gold medalist, reminded the Irishman about his accolades. He described “World Champ Champ Day” as a normal day for him and trashed ‘The Notorious’
He also wanted “The Notorious” to wish him on June 8- the day he became the bantamweight champion. ‘The Messenger’ labeled it as the “Triple champ day”. This is a shout out to his impressive achievement as an Olympic gold medalist and a UFC dual champion.

Conor McGregor became two-division champion in 2016 at UFC 205
McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez back in UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in 2016. It was a stunning performance by “The Notorious”. He completely demolished Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship and become the first-ever two-division champion of the organization.

A select few fighters have achieved this distinction of winning belts in two divisions. Light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier did it in UFC 226 when he stunned the heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic via knockout.
Amanda Nunes became a two-division champion when she beat Cris Cyborg for the Women’s featherweight title at UFC 232.
The other fighter to become champ-champ was none other than “Triple C” Henry Cejudo. The then UFC flyweight champion defeated Marlon Moraes back in UFC 238 to claim the vacant bantamweight title.

For Cejudo, though, this was his third title. He disregarded McGregor’s “World Champ-Champ day” and wants his own recognition from The Notorious’.
Whether McGregor wishes Cejudo on the eighth of June remains to be seen. Given the colorful character of the Irish superstar, fans can expect some sort of reply from him soon. What did you make of the exchange?
