Competing in two divisions and retaining titles in both divisions is a herculean task. American freestyle wrestler Henry Cejudo has achieved that feat. The former Featherweight and Bantamweight champion boasts of a career in UFC that only a few can dream of.

With Nate Diaz competing in a boxing match with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, the topic came up in the interview and Cejudo had a shocking answer to it. However, he justified his reasons for picking who he thinks will take the cake.

Cejudo talks about Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz – Places his bet

In an exclusive interview with Smack Talk with Sandhu Ep. 6, the former champion was seen discussing a number of topics with the host. When the hot topic of the boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul came up, Cejudo had a bunch to say. “Nate Diaz.. Nate Diaz.. he’s a smart cat man. I know he gets a lot of stuff for being a little, you know, kind of a little gangster like but hes a really smart human” said the former champion, backing the 38-year-old former UFC fighter.

When the host asked him who he thought could win, Cejudo calmy answered, ” I can see him, I can see him taking out Jake Paul just based on being there with high level fighters, you know what I mean? Like, I just think that Nate Diaz’s volume will be very very problematic for a guy like Jake Paul so..

Having fought a lot of big names himself, Henry Cejudo believes Diaz’s experience could give him the edge over Paul. He continued to say, “I think he’s smart, I think after this – I think after this Nate Diaz – after this Jake Paul fight that he comes and I think he fights conor once again. That’ll be huge.” hinting at a possible trilogy in the future.

Henry’s Story – UFC Walkout

After having accomplished unimaginable things, the multi-division fighter decided to step away from the sport at 33.  In his last fight, he TKO’d the legendary Dominick Cruz and walked out, making a statement. However, he was always updated with the latest news from UFC and MMA. In 2023, he returned to claim the title from Aljamain Sterling on 7th May but failed to secure a win over the reigning Bantamweight champion.
