Henry Cejudo Mocks Alexander Volkanovski for Choosing to Fight Chan Sung Jung

Max Holloway’s exit from his UFC 272 fight against Alexander Volkanovski seems to have caused a lot of turmoil in the featherweight division. As ‘Blessed pulled out because of an injury, the promotion was in search of a replacement for the fight. This news seemed to have excited several fighters; especially Giga Chikadze and Henry Cejudo.

Henry Cejudo, who wants to win an unprecedented third UFC belt, has been repeatedly requesting the UFC for a fight against the featherweight champion. However, the promotion has brushed aside all the offers and gone for the man ‘The Great’ picked on Twitter i.e. The Korean Zombie.

Many feel that a fight against Chan Sung Jung will be an easy outing for Volkanovski. ‘The Messenger’ tweeted, “Hey @alexvolkanovski, it figures you would for the Zombie… and not the guy that would turn you into the Walking Dead.”

While the original bout against Holloway was supposed to happen at UFC 272, Volkanovski will make his third UFC featherweight title defense against Chan Sung Jung at UFC 273.

Now, it would be interesting to see if Cejudo is right about this being an easy fight.

What’s next for Henry Cejudo?

Henry Cejudo retired after his win over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. However, he has always expressed his interest in returning for a fight against ‘The Great‘. ‘Triple C’ has been really pushing for a fight against Volkanovski, but has not received a positive response.

Henry Cejudo’s fans might be excited to see him with the desire to fight again. Unfortunately, as the fighter does not have any bout and is inactive, it seems as though he will have to continue to wait for the Aussie to clean up the division before presenting his name as an option.
