It seems like there is a new rivalry brewing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship right now. Israel Adesanya recently entered the octagon at UFC 271 to defend his middleweight title. He took on the former champion, Robert Whittaker, in a rematch, and came out with the win. However, since the win, one name has popped up as a potential future opponent, and many back him to win.

After Adesanya successfully defend his title, Khamzat Chimaev seemed to have called him out. According to the Swede, he would make light work of the middleweight champion, and it is not just him who thinks so. The former two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo, backs him to easily stop ‘The Last Stylebender.’

This claim by Cejudo didn’t go down with another former two-division UFC champion, Daniel Cormier. ‘DC’ is now a commentator and also has his own YouTube channel. While talking about this matchup and how it can go, Cormier didn’t agree with ‘Triple C.’ He also asked him to not make predictions and analyze fights.

He said, “Henry Cejudo, stay in your place, my man. You’re a great coach and athlete, but you don’t do this. I mean, this is my lane. This is uncle Chael’s lane. This is where we live.”

“You can’t sit there and say Khamzat wins this fight easy. Nobody beats the ‘Stylebender’ easy, especially when you’re fighting the way he fights.”

According to Cormier, ‘Borz‘ is an aggressive fighter, and that can be his downfall against Adesanya. The UFC middleweight champion is an excellent counter striker and adapts to his opponent’s strikes quickly.

Henry Cejudo fires back at Daniel Cormier

This whole issue involving Adesanya, Chimaev, Cejudo, and Cormier seems to be escalating. After Cormier, in his video, dismissed the claim made by Cejudo about Adesanya vs. Chimaev, ‘The Messenger’ fired back.

In a recent tweet, while replying to DC‘s post, he wrote, “I hope this isn’t another bias commentary like your boy MB. @KChimaev would rag doll this dude so bad he’ll make him dance the Macarena.”

In the tweet, he also took a shot at Michael Bisping. Many people in the MMA community criticized Bisping’s commentary at UFC 271 and called him biased towards Israel Adesanya. However, since then he has talked about the issue and tried to clear the air.
