Joaquin Buckley demanded that Dana White give him a main-event fight after winning at UFC Vegas 80
Joaquin Buckley started off the fight with a lot of energy and charged at Alex Morono for a takedown attempt. Both fighters started trading strikes, and ‘New Mansa’ almost rocked ‘The Great White’ in the first round. However, the latter held his ground and continued fighting.
Buckley went on to land some more significant strikes and looked as sharp as he could, landing a takedown, while Morono attempted to go for an armbar submission. Moreover, ‘New Mansa’ tried yet another takedown but got caught in a guillotine position, which he canceled by slamming Morono on the mat.
The second round wasn’t as explosive as the first one. However, Joaquin Buckley hit some great punches that made Morono a bit more cautious. The third round started with ‘New Mansa’ landing a powerful hook that got Alex Morono busted on his lower lip. The 29-year-old continued to put pressure as Morono was visibly hurt. It was clear that Bickley got the better of his opponent as he won the fight via a unanimous decision.

Fans react as ‘New Mansa’ wins his second fight of the year
The fans did not have many nice things to say about Joaquin Buckley’s demand at the end of the fight. Some claimed that his demand for a main event wasn’t valid since he could not finish Alex Morono, even after he was hurt.
Looked great but hes acting like he finished the guy in his post fight interview call for a “ main event “ dude couldn’t even finish a guy who was literally out on his feet. Couldn’t put together a clean 1-2 played it safe with gassed out ground n pound to a decision. Not ready..
