Joaquin Buckley started off the fight with a lot of energy and charged at Alex Morono for a takedown attempt. Both fighters started trading strikes, and ‘New Mansa’ almost rocked ‘The Great White’ in the first round. However, the latter held his ground and continued fighting.

Buckley went on to land some more significant strikes and looked as sharp as he could, landing a takedown, while Morono attempted to go for an armbar submission. However, what caught the eye of the fans was what Joaquin Buckley had to say after the fight. He claimed to love fighting under the UFC banner and has a lot of respect for Dana White. However, Buckley was upset about the fact that he did not get the limelight he deserved. The 29-year-old demanded to be put in the main event next time. He said, “Don’t make me come for my throne, because there’s a lot of wicked things that can happen.” Meanwhile, fans shared their take on the fight on social media.

Fans react as ‘New Mansa’ wins his second fight of the year

The fans did not have many nice things to say about Joaquin Buckley’s demand at the end of the fight. Some claimed that his demand for a main event wasn’t valid since he could not finish Alex Morono, even after he was hurt.

Furthermore, another fan claimed that they deviated away from Buckley’s amazing performance after he started talking on the mic.

One fan said:

Many fans did not think ‘New Mansa’ deserved a main event fight.

Some fans lauded Alex Morono for the guts he showed during the fight. However, they believe that Buckley is more athletic than his opponent.

Some believe that the only fight that makes sense for Joaquin Buckley in a main event is against Kevin Holland.
