The netizens raised their brows when Joe Rogan got involved in a debate on Twitter. Recently, Dr Peter Hotez, a leading vaccine researcher involved in developing Corbevax (a vaccine for COVID) claimed that the UFC color commentator and his guest, Robert R. Kennedy Jr., were spreading misinformation on the JRE podcast. The debate indeed caught a shipload of attention.

Following Hotez’s tweet, Rogan responded with a generous offer. He put forth a massive sum of $100,000 for charity and asked the scientist to have a debate with Kennedy Jr. on his show. Surprisingly, the offer caught the attention of Elon Musk. The owner of Twitter then took to the comments section and shared his thoughts.

Rogan’s take on the COVID vaccine caught the attention of the entire globe. While many stood in support of the podcaster’s take, many others opposed it. Without a doubt, Dr. Hotez was the one standing with the opposition. Recently, the internet boomed with an online argument when Dr. Hotez stood against Rogan.

He tweeted, “Spotify Has Stopped Even Sort of Trying to Stem Joe Rogan’s Vaccine Misinformation. It’s really true ⁦@annamerlan⁩ just awful. And from all the online attacks I’m receiving after this absurd podcast, it’s clear many actually believe this nonsense.”

Soon after, Rogan responded to the tweet with an offer to discuss the issue publicly. He replied, “Peter, if you claim what RFKjr is saying is “misinformation” I am offering you $100,000.00 to the charity of your choice if you’re willing to debate him on my show with no time limit.” Moreover, even Kennedy Jr. was ready to have a discussion on the topic with Dr Hotez. The interaction caught the attention of a prominent personality as Elon Musk got involved in the proceedings.

The debate caught the attention of the owner of Twitter. He took to the comments section and posted a couple of fire emojis. 

Later, Dr. Hotez asked Rogan to contact him personally. However, Rogan wanted to make it public. The argument went on and Rogan kept pestering the vaccine development expert to discuss the issues publicly. Immediately after, Musk revealed his thought that Dr. Hotez might actually be afraid because he knew he was wrong.

Nevertheless, the debate is yet to be settled. With flames rising from every corner, all eyes are turned toward Rogan.
