UFC President Dana White sat down at the post-fight presser for UFC Vegas 45, that closed out the year 2021. The fight card delivered in a massive way with 10 out of the 13 fights ending via stoppage. In the main event, Derrick Lewis scored a sensational record-setting knockout win over Chris Daukaus to become the undisputed KO king of the UFC.

Apart from talking about the fights, Dana White was also asked about a former champion from his roster. Khabib Nurmagomedov has launched Eagle FC worldwide and recently was in the U.S to promote the growing brand. Dana White was asked to share his thoughts on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fight promotion and also revealed he would help Nurmagomedov if he asked.

“I haven’t talked to Khabib about his promotion at all. He’s going to find out what it’s like to be on the other side and you know, it’s not as fun as it seems. He’s going to learn. If he doesn’t know, he’s going to know.”

“Listen, if he calls me and wants advice, I would absolutely give him advice. But I think he’s going to learn the hard way.”

White is clear that Khabib Nurmagomedov will have to be on a long learning curve as he’s on his journey as a promoter. Dana White has always talked about how the fight business is challenging and it’s not easy to break into the market.

Kevin Lee signs with Eagle FC

Not too long ago, news broke that ‘The Motown Phenom’ had decided to join up with Eagle FC. The news came after Lee’s shocking release from the UFC that took place late last month. In fact, it’s ironic that Khabib Nurmagomedov will now be Kevin Lee’s promoter after the latter spent a lot of time trying to fight ‘The Eagle’ back in 2016-2017.

Kevin Lee is looking to fight within the first quarter of next year. He is already targeting Diego Sanchez as his first opponent in his run to become the 165-pound champion. Nurmagomedov has committed to opening the 165-pound weight class and Lee is confident in his ability to rule over that division.
