Dan Hooker is all set to face Nasrat Haqparast at the UFC 266 event on September 25. Hooker has been training hard and will look to win this fight as he has lost his previous two UFC fights. Recently during an interview, Hooker was talking about his upcoming fight and which other opponents he wanted to face. During that conversation, the fighter was asked about Tony Ferguson and why he did not ask the UFC for him.

Hooker laughed and gave a cheeky response that amused everyone. He said, ” He’s gone rogue, just doesn’t pick up the phone. No one from the UFC can get a hold of him. That’s what I’ve heard.” Ferguson is often considered one of the best lightweight fighters in UFC history and has had an incredible MMA career.

However, ‘El Cucuy’ has not been in the best of forms recently. Ferguson has lost his last 3 fights and from being a title contender has come down to No.6 in the UFC rankings. Therefore, many people believe that Ferguson is past his prime and should consider retirement.

For Hooker, though, an opportunity to fight Ferguson would have been great. However, ‘The Hangman’ knows that Ferguson is past his prime and is not the same fighter he used to be.

What to expect from the fight between Dan Hooker and Nasrat Haqparast?

Going into this fight, many would consider Hooker to be the slight favorite, as he has much more experience than Haqparast. However, ‘Afghan’ is no slouch and has been performing admirably. The fighter has an incredible MMA record of (13-3) and has won his last 2 UFC fights.

In his last fight, ‘Afghan’ fought Rafa Garcia and won the fight via a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, as Hooker has not been in great form recently, Haqparast can take advantage of the same. Whatever the case may be, it surely will be an entertaining affair when these 2 fighters collide.
